Summary

MLCS Corporate specialises in working with Indigenous organisations and individuals to enhance their economic development opportunities and to assist in the operation, management and administration of trusts that have been set up to fund socio and other benefits programs for their members.


Sustainable investment, management and administration of funds received by Traditional Owners from Native Title, land use agreements and other settlements can lead to real change in the communities they live in. We refer to them as Legacy funds. Funds that can make a difference today, tomorrow and for generations to come.

Advisory Services

  • Oversee the administration and management, including the development of policies

  • Ensure appropriate tax status and terms of trust

  • Make recommendations on the management of the Fund

  • Plan for immediate and future community needs

  • Monitor the financial health of the Fund

  • Assist, review, endorse and monitor the implementation of the Annual Plan

  • Assist with establishing protocols for the Corporate Governance of the Fund

  • Assist in the establishment of the Investment Strategy

  • Strategically invest funds safely and appropriately

 

Application Services

  • Development of application forms & funding policy guidelines complying with the Trust Deed

  • Provide information to beneficiaries on the programs & policies, including sending and assistance with applications forms

  • Support applicants with completion of required forms


Processing Services

  • Provide 1800 number for member enquiries

  • Receipt of completed application forms

  • Review of application forms for compliance with policies

  • Recommendation/authorisation and payment of suppliers


Administration & Reporting

  • Protecting the assets of the trust

  • Payment of authorised applications

  • Bookkeeping services

  • Reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

  • Financial Accounting & Taxation Reporting - Year End
